Description
The Smart Protect Plus provides fast and straightforward banknote authentication for retail, hospitality and other cash-handling environments.
Simply insert a banknote and the detector will automatically identify its currency before examining multiple security features, including infrared, magnetic, metallic thread, size and colour characteristics. Genuine notes are accepted, while suspect notes are rejected and accompanied by an audible warning and an error code on the LCD display.
Bank of England, Scottish and Northern Irish notes can be inserted in any orientation, helping staff check cash quickly without having to position each banknote in a particular direction.
The Smart Protect Plus is configured to detect the latest known counterfeit banknotes, including movie prop and facsimile notes that may be presented as genuine currency. Its banknote authentication performance has also been tested and certified by the relevant central banks for its supported currencies.
