This Privacy Policy explains how Cashtec Ltd uses personal information when you visit cashtec.co.uk, contact us or buy from our online shop. It is a notice about our use of information, not a condition of using the website.
Who we are and how to contact us

Our registered office is 14 Mill Lane Trade Park, Mill Lane, Liverpool, England, L13 4BF. Our customer address is Cashtec Ltd, Unit 14, Wylam Road, Liverpool, L13 4BF. Information we collect
- Contact and business details such as your name, company name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
- Order and service details such as products purchased, payments and refunds, delivery information, invoices, warranties and correspondence with us.
- Information you send through forms, email or telephone, including enquiries and support requests.
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and information recorded in website security logs or cookies.
We usually receive this information from you when you place an order, contact us or use the website. Our payment provider may send us limited transaction information, such as payment status and a card brand or last four digits. Card payments are handled by Stripe; Cashtec does not store your full card number or card security code on its website.
Why we use information and our legal bases
- Orders, delivery, refunds and support: to take steps before and fulfil an order placed by an individual, on the basis of a contract. Where an order is placed by a business, we rely on our legitimate interests in handling it and communicating with its staff.
- Accounts, records and legal compliance: to keep invoices and records, meet tax and accounting duties, handle legal requests and comply with other legal obligations.
- Website operation and security: to operate the shop, protect it against misuse and fraud, troubleshoot problems and improve our services. We rely on our legitimate interests in running a safe and effective business, unless another basis applies.
- Marketing: to send relevant information about our products and services where the law allows. We rely on consent where it is required and, for appropriate business contacts, our legitimate interests. You can opt out of direct marketing at any time by using an unsubscribe option or contacting us.
We need contact, delivery and payment information to process an order. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to fulfil your purchase. Providing information for optional marketing is not required to buy from us.
Who receives information
We share only information needed for the relevant purpose with service providers, including Stripe for card payments, delivery companies for shipping, and providers of website hosting, email and other business systems. Our accountants, professional advisers and service partners may receive relevant details where needed. We may disclose information to public authorities when the law requires it. These recipients must handle information appropriately for their role. We do not sell customer personal information.
Cookies and other website technology
Our shop uses cookies and similar technology needed for the basket, checkout, security and account access. Embedded content, including videos, may let its provider receive technical information about your visit when it loads or you interact with it. Before introducing optional analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this notice and provide any consent choices required by law. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, although this may affect checkout.
How long we keep information
We keep order and invoice records for the period required for tax and accounting, generally at least six years. We keep other information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected, including dealing with enquiries, providing support, honouring warranties, resolving disputes and protecting the website. We then review it for deletion or anonymisation unless a legal obligation or claim requires longer retention. If you opt out of marketing, we may keep a minimal record of that choice so we do not contact you again for that purpose.
Transfers outside the UK
Some providers of payment, hosting, email or other services may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use the protection required by UK data protection law, such as an adequacy arrangement or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us if you want more information about a particular transfer.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for a copy of your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of use, or transfer of information you provided to us. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful use. Some rights have exceptions, including where we must retain records by law. Email support@cashtec.co.uk to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
If you are unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us so we can investigate. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
